Not only are you getting a company with a proven track record but regulations allowing the customer flexibility and efficiency in meeting their particular requirements.

Tribal owned 8(a) firms, such as, MNBE are eligible to receive sole source direct award 8(a) contracts regardless of dollar size, while all other 8(a) firms may not receive sole source contracts in excess of $3 million for services and $5 million for manufacturing. The applicable regulation is 13 CFR 124.506(b)

8(a) sole-source contracts awarded to MNBE may not be protested. The applicable regulation is 13 CFR 124.517(a)

Section 504 of the Indian Finance Act (25 U.S.C. 1544) provides that a prime contractor subcontracting with a firm that is 51% owned by an Indian Tribe (MNBE), Alaska Native Corporation or an Native American individual may receive additional compensation equal to 5 percent of the amount paid to a subcontractor, if such subcontractor is an Indian organziation as defined in the Indian Financing Act. Appropriations for the Indian Incentive Program for FY2009 was $15 million.
